Maker Spotlight - RÊVE

During our June Giveaway, we received many stories from small business owners sharing their creative journeys in the comments. We collected these stories, and each one reminded us of the passion and dedication behind every handmade brand.

Lidia became our lucky winner and received the complete La Isla Bonita Mold Collection, along with books created by designer Angi.

We were truly impressed by the thoughtful brand building and unique aesthetic behind RÊVE. Today, we're excited to share her story with you.

  1. The Story Behind RÊVE

How did you start this brand, and what inspired you to create it?

RÊVE was born from the desire to materialize my dreams. I’ve always been a dreamer, so creating physical pieces allowed me to reconnect with myself. I started the brand because I wanted to turn everyday moments into intimate rituals through artisanal candles and hand-sculpted decor. RÊVE means "dream" in French, and that is precisely the core of everything I make: crafting pure atmosphere, bringing warmth, and ultimately giving people pieces that light their dreams.

  1. Handmade Objects as Anchors

You mentioned that your hand-sculpted pieces can become "anchors," which is such a beautiful way to describe handmade objects.

In today's world, do you think physical objects, handmade processes, and personal experiences have gained a deeper meaning?

Absolutely. In a world that moves so fast and is increasingly digital, handmade objects ground us. They carry energy, time, and human intention—and that is exactly what we, as a society, are craving in our everyday lives. A mass-produced item fills a space, but a hand-sculpted piece anchors you to the present moment. When you touch a handmade piece or light a candle crafted with care, you are choosing to pause. That’s why physical, artisanal objects have transitioned from being simple decor to becoming more meaningful each day.

  1. Your Experience with the La Isla Bonita Collection

Wed love to hear your thoughts about the giveaway gifts 🤍

Opening the La Isla Bonita collection was such a joy! The quality and texture of the molds are exceptional. I haven't had the opportunity to use them just yet, but I am so eager to. Seeing them in person instantly sparked new creative ideas for RÊVE!

  1. What's Next for RÊVE

What are you currently working on, and what new plans or projects are you excited about?

Right now, I'm focusing on grounding the RÊVE universe. Coming back to the core is essential to remind ourselves why we started and why we keep going every day. I'm also focusing on creating limited-edition drops and exploring new themes for our home decor pieces. The goal is to keep evolving the RÊVE universe and reach more people who value intentional, soul-filled design.

  1. Advice for Fellow Small Business Owners

What have you learned from the journey that you wish you knew when you started?

Trust your own voice and don't rush the process—I think that's the best advice I could give. When you start, it’s easy to get distracted by trends or what others are doing, but true connection happens when you stay authentic to your vision and essence. Also, embrace the trial-and-error phase; imperfections in the creative process are often where the magic and your unique style are born. That’s when you see your growth, and I can tell you it’s one of the most beautiful parts of owning a business.
