Boowannite Aqua Eco Resin Terrazzo & Concrete Crafts Making Kit

Boowannite is a gypsum-reinforced aqua eco resin system. It is an eco-friendly composite material that offers the combined benefits of resin and gypsum. Products cast from Boowannite are light, strong, colorable, contain no toxic emission, sealable, and ‘breath’ like gypsum. It is perfect for any small and large art and homeware projects. Like resin, Boowannite can be embellished with colorants, pigments, flakes, gold leaf, and glitters, and creates stunning terrazzo and marble effects before being poured into the silicone mold of your choice. It is an excellent cheaper alternative to the well-known Jesmonite.

This kit includes:

• 1050g mineral-based powder + 350ml aqua-resin liquid + instructions. 
  
• 5 pigments: back, blue, cyan, red, yellow
• 5 paper cups
• 5 wooden sticks
• 1 silicone spatula
• 1 hook and loop sander + 2 sandpapers
• 1 pair of gloves.

Mixing Ratio: 100 (Powder):35 (Liquid)

Key Features:

Fast Curing: Boowannite has a working time of5-10 minutes once mixed and should be unmolded after 30-60 minutes for best results. Pieces will be fully cured after 24 hours with a matte finish. The piece can be polished, varnished, or waxed if a glossy finish is desired. The overall curing time can vary dependent on the overarching weather conditions and external factors such as cast size, temperature and humidity.

Easy Flow – Boowannite mixture has a much lower viscosity than most plaster and concrete blends, giving the benefits of minimized bubbles and fine detail replication.

Non-toxic: Water-based making it kinder to the environment, solvent-free and no VOCs.

Tough & Smooth Surface: The finishing surface is smooth, hard and abrasion resistant, giving the freedom to be painted, polished, varnished, or waxed.

Light & Strong: Boowannite is lighter than stone, concrete and traditional sand and cement products yet is comparable in terms of overall strength, impact& abrasion resistance.

Excellent Coloring Performance (with Boowannite pigment): Can be pigmented to any colour and also mimic any texture and reproduce the effect of materials such as stone, metal, wood… etc. Great coloring ability also enables users to create beautiful rendering/swirling effects.

Sealer-Friendly: Boowannite has a good absorption and surface performance with Boowannite Wax and Acrylic Sealers. Siloxane sealer or concrete / masonry sealer, can also be painted with an outdoor acrylic sealer or paint.
