Finding the Perfect Sealer: Balancing Glossy and Velvety Finishes

I have been on a journey trying to find the perfect sealer. The original from Jesmonite is tricky to use and leaves marks on the finished product. I tried many tools to apply it and was never happy with the result.

I did find a spray-on acrylic sealer that works greatwhen sprayed enough. It leaves a lovely glossy finish and makes all pieces look very polished. Unfortunately, it's pretty challenging to use. I have to do it outside, and then the weather and time of day become an issue. I need to wear a mask when applying it. It's a bit of a fuss.

This one from nicolemould is the easiest to apply so far. It doesn't leave any unwanted streaks, and the finish is velvety.

As I still have my spray-on sealer, some of the products will have a more glossy finish, while others will be more velvety, depending on the sealer used. Just thought I'd let you know.

Not greasy or sticky.

I really liked the wax, it's not greasy or sticky. After applying water to the plaster, it just beads off like water on a duck's back. I will order a larger one!
